This was our last full day in Phoenix. The day started with Samuel and I taking Grandma to church. Grandpa was not feeling great so he stayed home. After dropping grandma off at her house we went to Aunt Carol’s for brunch.
Then the group decided to try out the new train system in Phoenix. It has only been open about a month and the ticket buying process was a bit over our heads.
We finally boarded the train and rode it down to Tempe. It turned out a great number of people also had the idea to ride the train this day.
Here is the whole crew around a fountain in Tempe.
We walked around town for awhile and we finally found a shop that fit Uncle Don perfectly.
We stopped for a drink along the way.
We then got back and had dinner at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. We ordered Chinese.
There were many rounds of checkers played.
One final repair to the cabinets before we all leave.
The family photo is always a must at the end of these events. It has been a long time since we did one of these.
The trip has been fantastic and Samuel and I have really enjoyed every minute of it. We have had great conversations with everyone and have been glad to be of help to G&G while we were here.
