The two main political groups in Nicaragua are the PLC and the Campana. We were all pretty surprised one morning when we discovered that the Nueves Esperanzas headquarters is right across the street from Casa de Campana, the Campana's headquarters in Leon! Not a safe place to be during times of political unrest, like the couple months before we arrived!
