Everything New

Wow! It has been a while since we posted anything. Well, here is the latest.

We went to the circus on Thursday and it was great! In case you have not been recently it is very different. The Barnum and Bailey company polled audiences to ask what they would like changed and gave the show a new make over! The biggest difference is that there is now only one ring. That sounds shocking, but we actually found it easier to concentrate on only one ring instead of three. Another change is that they have taken out the ringmaster and replaced him with a 'Fairy Godmother'! We took lots of pictures (click on the link to the right to see them).

On the twenty-first Jesse played in a piano competition and did very well. Also last Sunday Samuel played in a recital and did it well too. We are very proud of them!

Another big thing is that our neighbors had their first baby, a beautiful baby girl. Her name is Ella Audrey. We fed the cats at their house while they were in the hospital and made a welcome home sign for them and left it on their table with a rose for them to come home to! (Again pictures are on the way!)

The next birthday coming up is Abigail's on Thursday. Yes, she is a groundhog born on Groundhog's Day! Although February is an icky month to be born in, it is nice to have someone in the house who can control how long the winter lasts!

And yes, we are miserable about the Bear's loss. Miserable, but not particularly surprised. As we left the room were we had witnessed the defeat, we were still wearing our brave Bear's shirts and hats and chanting the Chicago sports theme song: "There's always next year!" Mama looked at our glum faces at breakfast the next morning and said, "Well guys, we got so close. I'm sorry." Sam looked up and said, "That's OK, Mama. We're Chicago fans, we're used to it!" Still, if they had gone to the (gasp!) Super Bowl I guess the whole family would be suffering ulcers from worrying so much. As it is we are all healthy, wealthy and some of us at least may be wise!
