Well, this blog has remained at the beach for long enough, I suppose and it's time for another flurry of updates. This should be called the Spontaneous Blog! Anyway, here are some pictures from the biggest day of the year according to one now nine-year-old, Jesse and Nathan's birthday. Well, their party anyway. Daddy always draws us birthday pictures showing a relevant part of our lives for the next year. Jesse's drawing is of a Samford University football player, and Nathan's is of a Y-wing fighter, straight from the Star War's universe!
We woke the birthday boys with a less than harmonious chorus (of Happy Birthday, of course!)...
Ate sausage biscuits for breakfast...
And bratwurst for dinner, before getting to the most important part...

Nathan stocked up on Legos and DVDs!
One of Jesse's gifts was this cool History Channel DVD set, Dogfights. The series digitally recreates famous aerial combat missions and includes interviews with the original pilots!
Nathan's cake was another Star Wars Y-wing.
And Jesse's was a delicious chocolate cake with butter-cream icing purchased (where else?) at Publix.
